It’s been a long time since I posted one of my Wednesday Selah posts. A quick refresher: Selah is a term in the Psalms that has commonly been translated as “pause.” I wrote more about it in the introductory post to the series. I thought I would restart the series with a song that has … [Read more…]
We’ve all heard the voices. Those voices in our head that sometimes whisper and sometimes scream that we don’t measure up. “I need to do it all.” “My life doesn’t have a purpose.” “I don’t belong.” “I don’t have much to offer.” “I’m not smart enough.” But, to each of these lies, God speaks … [Read more…]
Sometimes I need the most encouragement with all is well in the world. When everything falls apart, it’s easier for me to call on the Lord. Friends instinctively step in to offer words of encouragement, helping hands and sometimes stunning dishes I could never hope to make in my kitchen. The church family will pray – … [Read more…]
This week’s music/worship break features a song from the soon-to-be released David Crowder album, American Prodigal. Remember that – as the spoken word artist, Isaac Wimberly, says in the video – hope has a name, Jesus. P.S. You can read the poem Wimberly performs on his website. I love the ending … So … [Read more…]

Lyrics are below the video. (P.S. Christy recently started a podcast called The Glorious in the Mundane. check it out!) Lyrics Let it … [Read more…]
I promise. One day there will be other posts to accompany all this music, but let’s just enjoy this one from Jesus Culture for now. Lyrics are in the video.
From the description under the YouTube video: Touch The Sky was on of those crazy ones – with 1 hour left of the Mt. Arbel park open we ran up the hill set up and went for it! Band sharing mixes – wind blowing – Kobes sitting on the cliff! We got it in the … [Read more…]
